As you may or may not know, I started my first year at Wash U in August. I didn't really know what to expect, but I assumed that I would automatically do just as well as I did in high school.
I was wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong.
The amount of work I have now is astronomical. And on top of that, my past exam grades have been...unsatisfactory, to put it lightly. I've been struggling for the past few months to catch up, but everyone seems to be thousands of miles ahead of me. Any degree of success seems almost impossible. I quit my job and gave up on extracurriculars and hobbies just so I would have more time to study, but it hasn't really proved to be effective yet.
So if you haven't already guessed, you will not be seeing dolls anytime soon. I thought about trying to finish a few in December, but with the way things are looking now, I may not have time until the summer. And if I get a job, I may not even have time then.
Don't go to college, kids. It sucks out your soul and rips you away from everything you loved. D:
I suppose I ought to make an announcement concerning commissions as well:
I don't do commissions. Not yet.
You have no idea how much I appreciate your interest in my work, but I don't think I would have time to provide anyone with a quality product. The only time I would ever consider taking on commissions would be in the summer when this first year of school is over. I'm sorry if this disappoints some of you, but I've got to get my shit together.
Hope you're all doing well. Don't catch the swine flu.
