Description

oh sweet jesus, are those thumbs??!?!?/1/1

Indeed! I thought I might change up my pattern a little bit (if you don't know, my dolls are made from my own patterns). The thumbs don't do much good for Midna, but they might help if I want to add accessories for other dolls...

So let's get down to business. This here is Midna in her true form, sorry if I completely ruined the game for you few who haven't finished Twilight Princess yet. She wasn't as hard as I thought she'd be, and she sure as hell put my mom's 10-year-old fabric paint to good use. xD Why fabric paint? It's easier. Take the headdress for instance. I tried four times to make that crown thing with metal wire and a pair of pliers, and gave up when I couldn't produce anything remotely symmetrical. All of you metal workers on here must have an insane amount of patience.

I based her design on a few pictures from google and a video from youtube, since Nintendo doesn't know how to make references for the awesome-looking characters. What the hell, Nintendo?? You've got freaking Fyer and Falbi on reference sheets, but you don't have Gannondorf or freaking Midna??!?!? D:< Due to Nintendo's incompetence, her design isn't perfect. I deviated a little bit on the arm and leg tattoes, as well as the headdress. And the cloak. Hell. Everything. But she does look kind of like Midna, right? Right? I know her hair isn't really orange, but I had some pretty cool yarn left over from my other Midna doll, and I really wanted to use it.

Uh, anyway...she is my Christmas gift to :iconquun:, who will be pleased with the end result, hopefully. Made from flannel, fabric paint, and yarn. Body base and cloak base was sewn by machine, everything else was sewn (painstakingly) by hand. I really wish I could take better pictures, but this will have to do.

Midna is copyright to Nintendo.
